Company Trade Union
The Trade Union of Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company is a grassroots trade union under the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Trade Union. At present, the Company’s Trade Union has more than 3,180 union members participating in 34 departmental trade unions and 132 trade union groups. The Executive Committee of the Company’s Trade Union for its 32nd term (2023–2028) consists of 15 members, including one Chairperson and two Vice Chairpersons who are full-time trade union officials.
Over more than 60 years of construction and development under the leadership of the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Trade Union and the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company – Vinacomin, together with the close and effective coordination of professional agencies and mass organizations within the Company, the Company’s Trade Union has effectively fulfilled its role of representing and protecting the lawful and legitimate rights and interests of workers, officials, and employees; participating in management and taking care of the lives of workers throughout the Company.
The Trade Union has actively initiated and effectively organized patriotic emulation movements and trade union activities among workers and employees; regularly grasped the production and business situation as well as the thoughts and aspirations of employees, thereby working with the Company’s leadership to develop programs, plans, and objectives for production and business development, and to implement regimes and policies related to employees.
In addition, the Trade Union has promoted the dissemination of the Party’s guidelines and policies, the State’s laws and regulations, the Company’s internal rules and regulations, and the duties of the Trade Union organization; implemented directives, resolutions, and action programs of higher-level trade unions and the resolutions of the Trade Union Congress of Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company; directed departmental trade unions and trade union officials to perform their functions, duties, and powers in accordance with the law and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; and effectively organized activities to care for the material and spiritual well-being of employees, ensuring the proper implementation of social welfare regimes and community social policy initiatives.
With the tradition of “Discipline and Solidarity,” unity, and resilience of miners, in recent years the trade union officials and members of Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company have made significant contributions to the sustainable development of Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company – Vinacomin, to building strong Party, mass, and trade union organizations, and to successfully fulfilling the Company’s production and business tasks as well as its political missions. Many collectives and individuals have been honored by the State and by authorities at various levels with prestigious emulation titles and commendations.
Some outstanding achievements:
The Trade Union of Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company has been awarded the Second-Class Labor Order in 2009 and the Third-Class Labor Order in 2004; Emulation Flags at the level of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour in 1995, 1997, 2000, 2003, 2010, 2011, 2020, 2021; Emulation Flags at the level of the TKV Trade Union and the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labour in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, along with many other prestigious awards. Every year, it has continuously been rated by the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Trade Union as a grassroots trade union that has successfully and excellently fulfilled its assigned tasks.
